They promised to send an engineer out to remove the limit within 48hrs. Changes to the google DNS again irrelevant. Went through months (yes months) of support. They had actually limited the home speed to 15mb but guaranteed 25mb. Yes the mobile data rates were faster and more reliable than home broadband. From a Vodafone home phone they charge for calling support and never answer.Īs we have Vodafone 4g on mobile we switched to chewing up mobile data. Access to the usual sites Netflix, amazon, Facebook, YouTube all were terribly slow. Switched from EE home broadband to Vodafone home broadband. And there is no mechanism to claim the guaranteed 15% discount for not meeting expected speeds. and the contract has ended up already but they still want more money!. Their T&C clearly state that you can cancel the contract " without termination fee if the service is poor for unreasonable amount of time " Well, the service was "poor" for the whole year. Called them 2 weeks later and was told tha they will still charge me for the whole month after the contact finished as I was supposed to give them 30 days notice. Anyway I kept paying for this substandard service for the whole year and stopped my DD as soon as the contract expired. The data were disappearing from my monthly allowance even if we were not switching the mifi device on.

Vodafone kept saying that they were allowing me to use whole 30GB abroad which was not true. I understand that all other operators (O2, Three etc) clearly state that you can only use a proportion of you data allowance in EU mainland. Unfortunately I soon realized that I was getting less than the half of the data amount I was paying for.
SETTING UP VODAFONE MOBILE BROADBAND PLUS
This was to use mainly abroad at our holiday home in continental Europe plus on other holidays. I signed up for 30GB/month data only, 1 year contract for mobile broadband with Vodafone. I managed to send one email to a hotel about my stay! Every-time I had no wifi and needed directions, train timetables, use of google maps etc (this is what I had bought the Mifi for!) I had to use mobile data on my phone instead (not with Vodafone) and that cost me a fortune - which was exactly what I was trying to avoid in the first place. I am aware that is the cost of the contract which I signed up but for this price I gained no service. Overall this cost me over £110 (including the cost of the device which I will clearly never use again given the lack of signal). In the 3 different continents and numerous places I tried to use it I couldn’t even get close to a useable connection. I only used 89 MB out of the 15 GB I paid for. Only once did the light go green and connect to a local network, even then I couldn’t get any internet to work on my phone. The signal light was constantly on red and it always said there was no network on my device even when in city centres. However, I only successfully got the device to work once during the 2 months I was away. After researching the best options and then going into my local Vodafone store for advice, the Mifi mobile hot-spot device and Global Roaming Plus 5 GB of data sim card seemed like the best choice. I needed a data roaming option that covered me in Singapore, Australia and the USA for 2 months. Im sick and tired of spending massive amounts ov bills every month with Vodafone for lies and not being happy stuck in a contract! all for crap internet speeds! and poor customer service that seem to be helping you'' but are very quick to transfer you and only to find out they have lied to you and nothing has changed! i took out a contract with them and told i would reach up-to 130mbps to then after days go by getting between 4-8mbps and told that im only getting up-to 10mbps by customer service in derby and if im not happy i can leave! im shocked how im treated! and not only that when you ring your spoken to by an automated system that puts the phone down on you constantly because it doesn't understand you! and tells you to speak on line chat that id be welcomed by customer service, only to find out its automated again!! !! so every-time i call them iv to tell the automated system iv leaving Vodafone!! my internet with them is shocking" im now getting under 1mbps up-to 1 and a half!! i cant even watch Netflix!! why sell my unlimited mobile internet with promises of massive speeds and no caps in the evenings to be getting such horrific slow speeds!! this is 2022 and im getting closer to dial-up speeds!! this is a multi billion company and it cant keep to promises to its customers!! im so angry!! im going to go to EE
